NIFA: All About the IFA

The Northwest Illinois Forestry Association will host former Illinois Forestry Association president Tom Walsh at its January 10th meeting at 7 pm in the Stockton Public Library, 140 W Benton St. in Stockton

Mr. Walsh is a former Winnebago County Supervisor of Assessments, a NIFA member, and recent past president of the Illinois Forestry Association.  IFA is a diverse state-wide grass-roots group of people and organizations interested in promoting, educating, and lobbying for the future of forestry in Illinois.  He will elaborate on IFA’s mission, its activities, and his experience as president.  Mr. Walsh will also tell of the Illinois Forestry Development Council and its charge to identify and evaluate the social, economic, scientific, and educational value of Illinois’s forest lands and forest products.
